Band Rehearsal - the combined bands rehearsing for a Passing Out Parade.
Frank Bowron. - Its late on a summer's evening on No.1 Wing. Trees are in leaf, some of the bandsmen are in shirt sleeve order, and that's me as Pipe Major, playing the Silver Pipes ( green instead of red ribbons), so it must be a rehearsal for our own Passout parade.

on 2012-Nov-03 07:07:10 Gallery Administrator said I now recognise this as - not rehearsal for a Passout parade - the bands are the wrong way round which was always my stumbling block. This was a rehearsal for a Craft Apprentice Parents day held in July 1966, just a month before we passed out. Theres a highlights video of the complete parents day on You tube.
