on 2014-May-21 10:48:36 Frank Bowron said Jim "Sooty" Soothill is missing from this line up. Did he move into our room later? Armstrong was our first "bogie" and Sooty was the deputy. "Cassius" is missing as well. -
on 2014-May-21 10:56:13 Frank Bowron said Meredith. "Cassius" was Meredith - so named because he was the greatest at everything. A few months of Halton sorted him out and he settled down as a reasonable bloke. We originally had "Face" Johnson in Room 5 too, but he quit at the end of the first term and later joined the REME apprenticeship scheme at Arborfield - an odd thing to do.
